Clara fell in love with the innate luminescence and buttery texture of oil painting when she sketched and backpacked throughout Europe. Initially a self-taught artist, she learned to juxtapose vibrant colors learning from the color theory of Lowell Herrero. More recently, taking art instruction from Sunim Koh, she is learning the skills of painting light and shadow, creating depth and bringing focus to her paintings. Her inner mantra of creating beauty conveys happiness to her viewers.
